Pearl ring

Unique sterling silver ring. Tension set pearl protected by wings.

This is the first ever custom order for a customer I didn’t know beforehand. She had somehow stumbled upon my Facebook page and luckily decided to contact me 🙂 So far all other pieces had been made for friends and family.

I drew several sketches and made a few prototypes using cheesewax, then I modeled the customer’s choice in Rhinoceros 4 and rendered it with Flamingo. The wings were cast, the shank is handmade. I soldered the pieces together, set the pearl and finished it with rhodium plating.
