Intarsia

We had a class in woodwork one semester. We tried wood intarsia, and I loved it.

We started with the given template of the seahorse and then had a chance to design whatever patterns we wanted. I wanted to try my luck with Jimi and the leaves, and both turned out great, I think.

The wood veneers used on the seahorse are walnut and maple, then maple and red beech on the leaves and lastly red beech and cherry on Jimi.
