My first attempts at engraving copper. These are all the pieces I made during the class.

We had an engraver come to class to teach us the basics. We also made our own engraving tools, one for engraving and two for stone setting, since he spent half the class teaching us different setting styles as well.

There was a bit of a learning curve, it’s pretty visible in the first practise plates with the straight and squiggly lines. The initials and the scrolls were my first real engravings. The dragon and koi fish were the last pieces I made just for fun since there was time and I wanted to train the skill even more.
